Welcome to Crafty Earth Monkey, where I bring my passion for crafting and gift-giving to life.
Raised in Northern California and now residing in Southern California, I've always been drawn to the creative process. I come from a family of gearheads, makers, and crafters. My mother, a preschool and kindergarten teacher, taught me that even the most ordinary items could be transformed into extraordinary things. I see raw materials everywhere; an old board game becomes a tissue box cover, a vintage rice sack becomes an apron or tote bag. Each piece is unique, as the materials are sourced from various people and places.
My fondest childhood memories are crafting handmade gifts with my mom. It's a tradition I've carried on, and there's something truly special about giving and receiving a gift made with love and care, as they carry a personal touch that mass-produced items simply can't match.
Audio Monkey
I’m also a big fan of puns and I love incorporating them into my creations. Coming up with puns is a way for me to exercise my mind, creatively pushing the limits of a word's meaning. Whether it's a playful play on words or a clever twist on a phrase, I enjoy adding a touch of humor to my art.
In fact, my love for puns inspired me to start Audio Monkey, a sub-brand of Crafty Earth Monkey. When my husband started working as an audiobook narrator a couple of years ago, I wanted to gift him a punny t-shirt that referenced audiobook narration. However, I couldn't find anything that fit the bill, so I decided to create my own! Audio Monkey offers a range of punny products that celebrate and recognize folks involved in the voiceover and audiobook industries.

Crafting is more than just a creative outlet for me; it's a form of mindfulness. When I'm crafting, I'm fully present, and it's a wonderful escape from the stresses of everyday life.
